MARCH 2008: Michael Salvadore Jr. recertifies under Uniform Standards as Machinery & Equipment Appraiser. After a grueling two day 16 hour examination of appraisal practices, procedures, rules, guidelines and knowledge of the Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) as promulgated by Congress Michael Salvadore Jr. has achieved a second re-certifification by the Appraisal Foundation and the Appraisal Institute. The USPAP governs the development, analysis and reporting of appraisals for real property, personal property (fine arts, antiques), machinery & equipment as well as appraisal review and appraisal consulting. USPAP was instituted by the United States Congress in 1990 to provide a harmonized set of regulations, procedures and format for certification of appraisers. Salvadore remains the only current active Industrial auctioneer/appraiser in Rhode Island to be certified for appraisal of machinery, equipment and industrial assets under USPAP.
FEBRUARY 2008: Michael Salvadore Jr. retires from Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation Board of Commissioners. Michael Salvadore Jr., has announced his resignation from the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation Board of Commissioners effective Febraury 8, 2008. After serving on the board for seven years and serving as Treasurer for the last three years Salvadore is retiring from the board. In a letter to the Governor of the State of Rhode Island Salvadore notes that the corporation is currently generating a profit, has fully funded trust and pension funds, is a non-union shop and is free of debt obligations for operation of the corporation daily activities. Salvadore also notes that capital investment required for the replacement of the huge fleet of heavy equipment required to operate the landfill is generated from operations. Salvadore notes that this is a significant acheivement inlight of the below market and below cost tipping fees charged to municipalities. Salvadore wished the Governor and the Corporation well in the future.
NOVEMBER 2007: Michael Salvadore Jr. achieves the elite SPA designation. Michael A. Salvadore Jr., GPPA-M, SPA, has acheived the elite Senior Professional Appraiser designation from the Soceity of Professional Appraisers. The SPA designation recognizes leading appraisers who qualify through a rigorous series of examinations, report evaluations and experience tests. The Soceity of Professional Appraisers, based in Boston, MA. represents a highly qualified cadre of appraisers who continually strive for excellence in the appraisal field. A demanding continuing eduational requirement and high standards of report writing are required for memberhsip.
NOVEMBER 2007: Michael Salvadore
Jr., GPPA-Master Elected Treasurer of Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers
of America Inc. (MJSA). (Providence,
RI) At the 104th Annual Meeting of the world's largest trade association dedicated
to the representation, education and serivce for manufacture of jewelry and
related trades, the membership elected Michael A. Salvadore Jr., GPPA-Master
to become an Officer and Treasurer of MJSA. Salvadore has been a Board member
for six years and served on the Finance Committee for the last four years. Salvadore
will have direct responsibility for the Association's budget, revenue and cost
centers. MJSA is the only trade association in the USA that represents the manufacturing
community in the jewelry and related fields including machinery, suppliers,
distributors, service providers and educational institutions. Membership includes
domestic and international companies, manufacturers, bench jewelers, machinery
builders, suppliers in the USA and 14 countries. MJSA promotes and produces
three major expositions annually and numerous educational conferences and texts.
JUNE 2007: Michael Salvadore Jr., GPPA-M elected Treasurer of Boston Chapter
of American Society of Appraisers
June 2007: Michael A. Salvadore Jr., GPPA-Master,
has been elected to server as Treasurer of the Boston Chapter of the American
Society of Appraisers (ASA). The ASA is the worlds leading and most recognized
society for the professional appraiser. The Boston Chapter is one of the leading
chapters in the country with active appraisal professionals, rigorous educational
demands and demanding accreditation requirements. The ASA fosters high standards
of professional practice and ethical conduct in the valuation of property, equipment
and businesses.

March 2007: Michael A. Salvadore Jr., GPPA-MASTER, has achieved the prestigious
"Master Appraiser" designation from the National Auctioneers Association.
As one of only 75 Auctioneer/Appraisers nationally to achieve this elite accreditation,
and the only Auctioneer in New England to have achieved accreditation at the
Master level, Salvadore passed a rigorous and specific evaluation criteria that
reflects superior quality of reporting and accurate validity of opinion of value
(appraisal) reports that he produces. Specializing in Industrial Assets including
Machinery and Equipment and Technical areas and providing opinion of value to
Banks, Lending Institutions, Attorneys, Courts and Governmental Agencies as
well as Accountants, Private Business and Organizations, Salvadore Auctions

December 2005: Michael Salvadore Jr., GPPA, has been elected Treasurer of the Massachusetts State Auctioneers Association Inc. (MSAA) at the December general membership meeting of the association. Salvadore was also reelected to the Board of Directors of the MSAA. The MSAA is one of the oldest and most active of all state auctioneers associations in the United States. The MSAA Represents all licensed auctioneers in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in matter of licensing, legislation and commercial code matters in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. MSAA member auctioneers strive to practice the highest ethical and professional practices in the auction industry. Currently, Michael Salvadore Jr., is serving on the Asset Sales Committee of the American Bankruptcy Institute and as a Director of theManufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America Inc. Saladore is Secretary and Director of the Attleboro-Providence Jewelry Network Inc., and Past President of the Metal Findings Manufacturers Association. He is a Commissioner and Treasurer of the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation, the nations 23rd largest waste management company.
January 2005: Michael Salvadore Jr. GPPA, has achieved accreditation
by the Education Institute of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) as
a Certified Appraiser in the field of Machinery and Equipment. The GPPA designation
was awarded to Salvadore after a
rigorous evaluation period which consisted of classroom examination and courses,
review of field work and review of
appraisal practices by the Appraisal Review Committee of the NAA. The NAA designation
is considered to be a difficult and
prestigious designation in the auction appraisal field.
Currently, Michael Salvadore Jr., is serving on the Asset Sales Committee of
the American Bankruptcy Institute, as a Director of the
Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America Inc., he is Secretary and
Director of the Attleboro-Providence Jewelry Network Inc., and
a Past President of the Metal Findings Manufacturers Association. He is a Commissioner

December 2004 (Framingham MA) Michael Salvadore Jr. GPPA, President of Salvadore Auctions & Appraisals, Inc. of Warwick, RI was reelected to the office of Secretary and was also elected to the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts State Auctioneers Association (MSAA). At the recent meeting of the MSAA, one of the oldest Auctioneer Associations in the country, the membership elected its slate of Officers and Directors for a two year term.

States Trustee for Region 1 of the Federal Bankruptcy Court has authorized Salvadore
Auctions & Appraisals Inc. to perform Professional Auctioneering Services
and Certified Appraisal Services for Trustees and Receivers of Bankruptcy actions.
In order to receive authorization from the US Trustee, applicants must demonstrate
licensing, bonding, experience and financial responsibility sufficient to warrant
the faith and trust of the Department of Justice of the United States Government.
